i registered an gmx.com acount,but i can't login,it always shows that "Your account has been blocked. "
can't admin help me reopening my acount?
my acount is:
deleted
contact email is
i love gmx email deleted
so now i register an acount at gmx.co.uk

GMX should answer here, it’s a known issue / bug.
To get help you need to write to GMX Mod: support@gmx.com
Edit (***) / delete your account information here,
never write it in public places / forums / ...
to avoid spam and abuse of your address.

My account has been blocked for a week now and I send support an email every day asking them to fix it. No response. What is wrong with these people? I like GMX but am seriously thinking of gmail because they don't seem to ever have problems.

Thanks Gran. I know they should answer, but they do not. Its frustrating. The fact that they do not address the problems leads me to believe that they have no idea what they are doing. I have been waiting for almost two weeks for a response.

Hi Mod,
looks like your "security team" is a bug.
But for turning a deaf ear there is no excuse,
neither support email nor forum.
Sorry for what I've to say now, you are new and I appreciate your efforts here,
but you stand for the company and you are the only one to talk to.
Let alone a whole bunch of bugs which make the GMX webmail useless, the main problem here is
GMX' arrogance and not being responsive to serious issues.
The Blocked Account:
****** Accused - Guilty - Executed *****

This is the message you send to an innocent user, possibly a newbie.
--> This is what I call arrogance. No, not rude - just stupid.
This issue has two stories:
a) The bug / false decision.
b) The message / reaction or how you block an account.
We've already claimed that it's absolutely wrong:
1) To block an account without immediately showing the reason to the account holder
when he attempts to log in by webmail.
2) To block the account holder from reading his email
(so he has no access to urgent mail and data).
3) To block the account from receiving email,
telling everybody (boss, customer) that this account is blocked.
4) Not to send an email to that account to inform the user directly,
just in case he's using an email client.
5) In that email (including an apologize just in case you are wrong)
including a direct web link (with case number) to contact GMX,
where the victim can explain what he did,
again receiving a statement that you will "priority" check that issue
as part of an escalation strategy.
"Cock-up before conspiracy" should always be the first thought,
from user to GMX ("simply a bug, nothing against me personally" )
but also from GMX to the user.

I also have a problem with a blocked account.
I registered quite a while ago, intending to use GMX to get away from my ISP's email service. I haven't got around to using GMX fully yet, but at least I had the email address I really wanted registered.
Recently I tried to login to start using GMX in earnest, only to get a message about it being blocked. I have reset the password, same message. I was never contacted by GMX to tell me why they've blocked my account. I have tried contacting GMX support both via the contact form and by direct email to the support address, but I've had zero response in over 10 days now.
I've had to create a new GMX account just to be able to post here.
I would really like my original account unblocking, as it has the name I really want to use ongoing...... although if this is the kind of (lack of) support I can expect from GMX, I'm not so sure any more...
So, how do I go about getting my original account unblocked?
If details are needed, the blocked account has the same "alternative contact address" (hotmail) as the one I'm posting this from.

Thanks for trying to keep up the momentum on this Miguel.
For info, I have yet to hear from GMX support on this.
I'm pretty much decided that I won't be using GMX as my replacement email provider - the support seems to be even worse than my ISP, and that's some achievement.
For what it's worth, I completely agree with your points. The most important one for me is that you simply should not block someone's account without warning or explanation. If you suspect abuse, by all means prevent the account from sending email outside of GMX's servers, but at least allow the person to logon to their account and talk to support. The fact that I had to create a completely new account just to be able to logon and post here is frankly ridiculous.

Glad you got yours sorted.
I have not yet had ANY reponse from GMX support - not even a simple acknowledgement that they've received my messages and are looking into it.
Such a shame, GMX has the potential to be a great email system, I especially love the Mail Collector - but if there's any chance of an account being blocked with no notice and it taking weeks to sort out, if ever, then i'm afraid it's simply not a viable choice as a main email account.

Possibly, probably, who knows? At this point I no longer care... the point is that the account was blocked without a reason being given, I've had to create a new account just to attempt to enquire about it, and all attempts to either get the account unblocked or even just get an acknowledgement from GMX have been met with silence. That's no way to run an email system, even a free one, if you want it to be taken seriously.
