1. Open Outlook 2007 and select
Contacts.
2. Then click on
File and select
Import and Export.
3. Select
Export to a File and click on
Next.
4. Select
Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click on
Next.
5. Select
Contacts and click on
Next.
6. Enter a file name for your contacts and click on
Next.
7. Click on
Map Custom Fields
8. Select the fields you wish to export to the GMX address book. The left panel contains Outlook fields and in right
panel are the fields to be exported. Use drag and drop to move items from the left panel to the right.
The GMX address book supports the following named fields below (not all fields are necessary):
Last Name
First Name
Nickname
Job Title
Department
Company
E-mail Address
Business Phone
Home Phone
Mobile Phone
Home Fax
Business Fax
Personal Web Page
Business Web Page
Business Street
Business City
Business Postal Code
Business Country
Home Street
Home City
Home Postal Code
Home Country
Notes
Having finished the selection, click on
OK
9. Click on
Finish to export the file.
10. In GMX, select the
Address Book application. Then, click on the
Import/Export button and select
Import Contacts from the drop-down menu.
11. A
File Import Wizard window will appear. Under
Select Client, choose
Outlook 2007 then click
Continue.
12. On the
Export page, you will be provided with instructions on how to export files. Click the
All Done & Continue button to continue.
13. On the
Upload Files page, click on the
Select File button to browse for the export file which you created. After selecting your file, click on the
Upload button.
14. Upon completion, you will be notified as to how many contacts you have imported. Your GMX contacts will be saved in the Outlook 2007 folder. From there, you can simply move them to other folders in your Address Book.
